29♠Twenty Nine AcademyLEARN A LITTLE. PRACTISE A LITTLE.
Auction orientation

Read the opening auction as a complete procedure

A named provider example, followed by questions to check.

Reference used here

Knight’s Cave’s tutorial describes bidding after the first four cards, with bids from sixteen to twenty-eight. Its highest bidder chooses trump before the remaining cards are dealt.

Read beyond the number

Use the original tutorial for order, passing and matching conditions. A range of numbers alone is not enough to run the auction. Keep a note of the exact account instead of adding a familiar exception from another table.

A worksheet for learners

Create columns for the stage, who acts, available choices and the source paragraph. Leave a field unanswered until you can locate it. Ask another learner to read the worksheet back before trying an open-hand practice.

Tool scope

Our practice questions do not judge whether a real hand should bid. A reliable recommendation would need the full relevant information and the agreed rules.
